If you have a sweet tooth, this is the perfect spot for you! This charming patisserie offers a variety of delectable pastries, chocolates, and desserts that are sure to satisfy any craving. If you are lucky enough to catch them during the hot chocolate festival you are in for some incredible creations. Each and every year our family looks forward to seeing what they have created just for the festival. If you need a stunning hostess gift I can’t suggest a box of their gorgeous chocolates more highly. Truly little works of art, just like their pastry.

Sfinaki Greek Taverna

For a taste of the Mediterranean, head to Sfinaki Greek Taverna. They serve up traditional Greek dishes such as souvlaki, moussaka, and spanakopita, and their portions are generous so you’ll definitely leave feeling satisfied. If you drink I highly suggest ordering a Volkan Blonde beer as they are fantastic, and if you need dessert the ekmek is our families favorite. Honestly no matter what you order at Sfinaki you’ll be happy with, it’s truly fantastic food. They’ve even been voted and won best Burnaby’s best Greek and best catering!

Straight Outta Brooklyn Pizzeria

If you’re in the mood for some classic New York-style pizza, Straight Outta Brooklyn Pizzeria is a must-visit spot in Burnaby Heights. This family-owned and operated pizzeria uses fresh, high-quality ingredients to make their delicious pies, which are cooked in a traditional brick oven. Whether you’re a fan of classic Margherita pizza or something a bit more adventurous, like their popular Buffalo Chicken pizza, Straight Outta Brooklyn has got you covered. And if you’re not in the mood for pizza, they also offer salads, subs, and calzones. Stop by for a slice or order a whole pie to share with friends – you won’t be disappointed!

Afghan Turkish Cuisine

If you’re looking for a taste of Afghanistan and Turkey, head to Afghan Turkish Cuisine in Burnaby Heights. This small, family-owned restaurant offers a range of flavorful dishes, from tender kabobs to lovely traditional desserts. Don’t miss their popular Turkish Pide, a delicious pizza-like dish topped with meat and vegetables – trust me soo good, everything here is so good especially when you add any of their sauces. The portions are generous, so bring your appetite or plan to take some leftovers home. In fact order a little extra to ensure you have leftovers so you have some for later because you will be obsessed. Everytime I am in the area I have to get one of their falafel donair; incredible food.

Cioffi’s Deli

Cioffi’s Deli is a family-owned business located in Burnaby, British Columbia, that offers a range of services including a market, deli, and catering and even a spot to grab a quick bite. This pinnacle spot in the heights began as a small grocery store in 1950 and has since grown into a well-respected institution within the community. They have an extensive menu of high-quality Italian and Mediterranean foods, including cured meats, cheeses, homemade pasta, and freshly baked bread. In addition to its retail offerings, Cioffi’s also provides catering services for events and special occasions. Even Michael Buble has been known to shop there so keep your eye out for him when you are visiting!

Osaka Sushi

Osaka Sushi is my favorite Japanese restaurant in the Burnaby Heights offering a variety of traditional and modern sushi dishes. Their commitment to providing high-quality and authentic Japanese cuisine, with a focus on fresh ingredients and expert preparation really shows in every bite. The menu features a wide range of sushi rolls, sashimi, and Japanese-style appetizers, as well as bento boxes and noodle dishes. My favorite being the pepper tuna in ponzu sauce, If I was asked what I wanted to eat at my last meal that would be one of the items 100%.

Gray Olive Cafeteria
