Science World

Launching June 26, 2025 at Science World in Vancouver, this hands-on LEGO exhibition is perfect for family fun, creative play, and budding engineers.

If you’ve got a LEGO lover or a space dreamer in your house (or maybe both!), then this summer’s newest exhibition at Science World is about to launch right onto your must-do list. Artemis Space Adventure with LEGO® Bricks, presented by White Spot Restaurants, opens June 26 and promises to be an out-of-this-world experience for curious minds of all ages.

This isn’t just about building little space shuttles and calling it a day—this is full-on mission mode, inspired by NASA’s Artemis Missions, which are set to return humans to the Moon for the first time since 1972. It’s hands-on, brain-on fun where kids (and kids-at-heart) can channel their inner engineer, astronaut, or scientist—one LEGO brick at a time.

What to Expect Inside Artemis Space Adventure

Imagine stepping into a space station built from imagination and filled with engineering challenges, inspiring exhibits, and larger-than-life LEGO sculptures. From the moment you walk in, you’re not just a visitor—you’re a space explorer on a collaborative mission to learn, build, and dream big.

Science World

Here’s a taste of what you and your crew will discover:

Incredible LEGO Creations

These aren’t your average LEGO builds from the playroom floor. These are jaw-dropping sculptures built to spark curiosity:

  • Apollo 11 Lunar Module “Eagle” – The spacecraft that carried Neil Armstrong to the Moon.
  • International Space Station – A symbol of global teamwork in science.
  • Space Launch System (SLS) – The powerful rocket pushing boundaries to Mars.
  • Axiom Space Suit – Try on the future of space gear with this photogenic, next-gen suit.
  • Neil Armstrong on the Moon – Because who doesn’t want a photo op with the first Moonwalker?

Hands-On Activities That Fuel Creativity

This isn’t a look-but-don’t-touch situation. Kids get to build, test, and explore through interactive stations:

  • Rover Race – Build your own lunar rover and go head-to-head on a test track.
  • Mars Habitation Challenge – Design a livable Martian base, just like NASA’s real engineers.
  • Meteorite Touch Table – Yes, you can touch real space rocks.
  • Free Build Zones – Sometimes, you just need to let the imagination run wild.

And when little legs need a rest? Head to the White Spot Lunar Lounge where families can relax, take in some cosmic ambiance, and chat about everything they’ve learned. Plus, did we mention actual rocket parts? Yes. Real. Rocket. Parts.

Why This Exhibition Matters

More than just fun, Artemis Space Adventure is all about STEAM learning—science, technology, engineering, arts & design, and math. It’s designed to give kids the confidence to think like problem solvers and see themselves as innovators.

“LEGO bricks are something many of us explored as kids, and often serve as an early introduction to engineering,” says Jennie King, Manager of Educator Programs and a NASA Solar System Ambassador. “I’m excited for our visitors to see themselves in space exploration.”

And let’s be real—this might just inspire some future astronauts in our midst.

White Spot, a Family Favourite

We love when local icons come together, and this collab is as sweet as Pirate Pak Day. White Spot’s sponsorship reflects their ongoing commitment to community, creativity, and family time. “We believe in fueling imagination, both at the table and beyond,” says White Spot VP David Comuzzi—and we couldn’t agree more.

Thoughts from a Vancouver Mom

As a parent, it’s hard to find things that entertain, educate, and actually hold our kids’ attention longer than a snack break. But Artemis Space Adventure with LEGO® Bricks checks all the boxes—and then launches them into orbit.

Whether your child is dreaming of Mars or just wants to race a LEGO rover, this is the kind of imaginative play that leaves lasting memories—and maybe sparks a passion for space, science, or simply building something great.

Make a day of it. Fuel your minds, fill up on fries after (thanks, White Spot), and take a few selfies in a space suit while you’re at it.

This summer, Science World is going to the Moon—and we’re all invited.
