Science World’s beloved adults-only After Dark series returns with a galactic twist: Lift-Off with LEGO® Bricks, taking place on opening night of the brand-new feature exhibition, Artemis Space Adventure with LEGO® Bricks, presented by White Spot Restaurants.
This unique evening offers a first look at an interstellar LEGO® experience unlike anything Vancouver has seen. Inspired by NASA’s Artemis missions to return humans to the Moon and eventually reach Mars, the exhibition showcases an array of impressive builds—from lunar rovers and rockets to life-sized astronauts and futuristic habitats. Each display is crafted entirely from LEGO® bricks and designed to bring space science to life in a playful, immersive way.
What to Expect at After Dark: Lift-Off with LEGO® Bricks
This one-night-only event is packed with hands-on activities, cosmic creativity, and a relaxed, grown-up atmosphere. Highlights include:
- Fast-paced LEGO® Challenges: Join Vancouver’s Community for Adult Fans of LEGO® (AFOLs) in a series of competitions that test your building speed, creativity, and accuracy. From precision minifig launches to spot-the-brick challenges and timed builds, there’s plenty to push your LEGO® limits.
- MOC (My Own Creation) Prompts: Participate in guided free-build sessions where you’ll create original works with a space-themed twist.
- Robot Coding Station: Try your hand at coding a micro:bit robot to complete a space-themed mission. This activity is first-come, first-served—so arrive early if you want a spot.
- Expert Talks: Attend one of three short presentations from a NASA Solar System Ambassador and Science World’s own curator for insider insights into the Artemis missions and the role science fiction plays in real-world space innovation.
