I hate being sick, and I really really hate being sick when I am supposed to be on holidays. Clearly a cruel twist of fate, so I didn't get any relaxing in or other work in like I had originally planned. I can only hope that I can get what I needed to get done with this time done and not worry about what I WANTED to get done.
Sometimes you have to just stick to the basics and let things slide a bit, and be okay with that. Did you hear me? It is okay to leave your house a little untidy if it means extra time with the kids or your sanity. I hate mess just as much as the next person and even I have to learn to just let go, lie down and rest. The mess isn't going anywhere, that's what you hate about it so you can always make time later. Later when your hubby comes home and sees what a mess you are and hopefully comes to your rescues. Later when your cats plan to take it upon themselves to like your dishes clean. Or later when the wild animals of the forest take over whistling while they work.
You see how Disney ruins lives?? Cleaning looked pleasant even for haggard Cinderella for her bitch sisters.
So here I am trying to race the clock here between writing this and my cold meds, which I think are actually winning, to come up with something witty for you. A task I am sure to have failed at. In case I haven't and you don't hear from me in the next few days send a bio-hazard team to my house. For we have all surely died of this plague we call a cold...
What kinds of things do you do to help make it threw a sickness?? I love oil of oregano (Emergen-C's) or willow bark based herbal teas! Lots of ginger if I am tummy sick!

I fear we are all going down..... LOL
Where are those helpful forest critters when you need them, right!?
This cold has gone through all my kids - 2 over Christmas - and finally myself. It's a real nasty bug this year. I was keeping busy to try and out-run it, but once we returned home from our holidays - it caught me. bugger bug.
I managed 1 day of general cleaning and tidying in my house; and now I am 2nd day in pjs. totally okay with that. haha
Hope you are feeling a bit better hun. I have never tried oil of oregano. As for willow bark based teas...I have no idea if I have ever used those but I am getting into my teas and have been drinking Gail's Cold Remedy and Organic Ginger Pu'er (I think that's name of it) by David's Tea.
Typically, I use some Chinese thing or boil ginger till it's spicy and add a bit of brown sugar and drink that.
But I don't typically get very sick then again, I don't have kids. lol.
