Hand Turkeys

So my super cool little man has been really loving school.  That is just GREAT, though most boys always enjoy elementary, I will be REALLY impressed when he LOVES high school.  I LOVED high school.

Myself?

I have just been missing my little helper around the house, and my lazy days.  Everyone I think has officially adjusted to the schedule we now face... though soccer is still a HUGE issue.  I just can't do it with youngest, if I can't get someone else to take him to practice I am just not going.  I am not putting myself threw that anymore, he is an absolute terror and the practices have ZERO empathy for a parent of multiples with a hubby that works LONG days.  I have to sit RIGHT NEXT to the practice, with a younger child who isn't allowed to play with them... for an hour.  You can understand how that goes south REALLY fast.  I can't just pick him up and wander the hallways or even play at the park.  I have to be RIGHT THERE.... his soccer makes me really miss the slackness of the 90s.
Back to the hand turkeys... my son had his first set of homework, which was to trace and cut out mommy, daddy, and his hand then cut them out HIMSELF.  We as parents are supposed to encourage him to do this ALL by himself or with minimal help.  Based on the appearance of the other turkeys... I was the only parent who did this.  You can tell right away which kind of parents there are.... the ones that encourage their kids to do and learn things on their own and the helicopter parents that just take over and do it for them.... regardless I was so proud to see my turkey next to his own little turkey and he was sooo proud of himself!

That is the cutest little turkey I ever did see!
