Lemon Pepper Crazy With A Side Of Quinoa

Don't forget to take the time to hit up Circle of Moms to vote for me here at Mumfection, which you can do DAILY all the way until Oct. 11th, 2012!!!

I am very aware that I never got around to posting anything yesterday, my apologies... life happens and I was pretty busy yesterday!

I love trying new food, and spices are definitely a testing kinda thing.  I mean lemon pepper alone I have gone threw SEVERAL different brands and have really only found a handful that are really any good.  I have even had some that taste like soap... no idea how lemon pepper translates into soap for some people but their taste tester needs to be fired, fast and without mercy.

I have come across a really REALLY good one though so I thought it only fair to give you the low down on this.  It is actually from South Africa and distributed up here in Delta, B.C. we have a GREAT selection of south African products here in B.C. I have noticed.  I mean not many cities you can find rusks or bill-tong.  So once I got my hands on it I started putting it on everything... much like I did as a child.  I haven't used lemon pepper in a LONG time so I was pretty excited to try this "Cape Herb & Spice", had HUGE rocks of salt nice looking peppercorns, solid onion chunks AND lemon rind plus it has lemon oil infused into all the components.
Adding it to my shrimp dish! (Shrimp, little butter, lemon juice and lemon pepper,  Can be poured onto pasta, rice or quinoa!)

Me adding it to my hubby's roast chicken yeah I'm the BEST vegetarian wife cause I'll still cook you meat lol!

oh yeah... that looks TASTY!
Since I couldn't sink my teeth into that chicken carcus I went with this Organic Quinoa I was given.  I was VERY pleased with the results of the TruRoots, tasted great and didn't need to be rinsed at all!  I HATE rinsing Quinoa...
Me making my Quinoa to put with my shrimp!
I dunno I was happy with my finds and my favorite was for sure the lemon pepper!  They have a great line of freeze dried herbs too on their site which I thought was a great idea as well as their spice and herb kits!

Hope all of you are having a great Wednesday!!
