I have been reading...

I know it is nuts to think that I have time to read... I mean I don't even have time to pee alone.  But I have been managing... somehow.  So today I wanted to share with you some things that I have been reading the last month or so on and off as well as to the kiddos.

You can clearly tell why myself and all the daycare kids really loved this one.  I mean all day I am always saying "just a minute, I just have to finish this" etc... My boys know what it is like to try and chase me down all day to play.  One great reason that I love this book and how it teaches the kids that, if you wanna play with mommy, it may require some help on their end right??  I really liked the flow of the story as well it went really nicely together and nothing read out forced at all!  Good one for you and the kids for sure!!
I think the best part about this book was the fact that it was a collection of short stories, very nice for a busy mother like myself.  I also haven't read a short story since, I think, high school and I really enjoyed this one.  I loved a couple of them like "This Is So Not Me" and "Developmental Blah Blah".  Stories kept me interested and engaged and the characters were relate-able for the most part.  I was really happy to have gotten this little find, great bath time read!  I also really loved the fact that she would revisit the characters in other stories throughout this as well, really made it even more dynamic.  I was really pleased with the material and how it worked together, and the fact that they were just long enough for me to get a nice long soak in, definitely worth a look :).

This last one I found to be a really informative read, something that I wish I had had when I was preggers.  Gives you a ton of stuff to think about, even some things that I didn't even consider when it came to care etc... I think it is extra informative about high risk pregnancies, that might be because I didn't have one so clearly I wasn't presented with a lot of info on it.  I was really impressed with the easy to read layout allowing me to easily skim threw and annoy my hubby with all these little facts etc.. I had learned... he loved that.   I was lucky enough to be able to pass it along to a good friend who may need it and definitely found the information on Diabetes and pregnancy really interesting considering she is diabetic.  Definitely a great suggestion for a baby shower gift, or a  just because you're awesome and pregnant gift!  Or of course for yourself if needed.

Those are the silly things that have been floating around and that have been read here in my house.  I really look forward to the next couple months, perhaps I'll get into a more in depth book.  I am still finding it hard to move on after the hunger games trilogy and the night circus not gonna lie!
