They have so much amazing information from different medications, how food allergies could be a factor, red food dye issues, and early development etc... I was just astounded at the wealth of information it has. I am even going to be trying to avoid red food dye in my sons food to see if that does make an impact, heck I am thinking of eliminating it from everyone's diet in this house. I never knew the effects that it could have on people, let alone the fact that it is in a TON of stuff!
Their sections on helping your boys succeed in teh best possible way, to help give you strategies on how to help them get from preschool to high school all of it was irreplaceable info. It really sheds a light on a lot of different aspects of ADHD and again I found it really interesting. They even set up and section of myths and misconceptions that people have about ADHD which is really important even for people not raising children with ADHD. For example:
I would highly suggest this book if you have boys. A really awesome and informative read that lays it out in a really great and simple way. I was definitely impressed.
"Myth: If a boy is hyper, then he has ADHD. Fact: Boys who are hyper do not always have ADHD. Other things, such as anxiety, can cause hyperactive types of behaviors."
