“Not Gonna Take It Anymore” Video Shows Moms How to “Go On Strike” This Mother’s Day!
Ft.
Lauderdale, FL (May 7, 2012) – Just in time for Mother’s Day,
Motherhood the Musical® has released a hilarious video that gives moms
something to ponder. What would happen if mothers around the world
went on strike and just stopped cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, and
all other household chores? This laugh-out-loud video, starring the
musical’s creator, Sue Fabisch, is the ultimate protest song for moms.
Motherhood the Musical is the new hilarious musical that’s leaving women across the country saying “that’s my life!” The show humorously captures every stage of motherhood including the changes that happen to the body after pregnancy and nursing, succumbing to driving a minivan and becoming a grandma for the very first time. Celebrated as “engaging, hilarious and touching!” by Variety, Motherhood the Musical is produced by 30-time Tony Award-winning GFour Productions, the team who has successfully brought Menopause The Musical® to multiple international markets and every major market in the United States. The 20-song musical includes 18 original tunes like the hilarious Billboard Top 10 comedy hit, “The Kids Are Finally Asleep;” the rousing call-to-shoppers, “Costco Queen;” and the tender ballad, “I’m Danny’s Mom.” Directed and choreographed by Broadway’s Lisa Shriver, award-winner Johnny Rodgers supplies music direction and supervision, arrangements and orchestrations. Motherhood the Musical opened with a sold-out premiere run in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. in fall 2010, where it was named “Best Musical” by the Broward-Palm Beach New Times. It has delighted audiences in cities across the U.S. including Tampa; Fort Worth, Texas; Richardson, Texas; Huntsville, AL; Atlanta, Philadelphia and Chicago. Motherhood the Musical is currently showing in Philadelphia and Chicago and opens in Providence at the end of the month. The production is currently on a 65-city tour in Australia. Although it is a national production, the 90-minute musical features a local cast in each city.
