Are you enjoying yourselves?

Have you ever had those moments where you stop and think about whether or not you enjoy what you do??  You know one of those Oprah provoked moments where you question everything and over analyze everything in the deepest respects.  I have come to the conclusion, after lots of deep thought thru children screaming, that I kinda do enjoy myself when I'm working.  I mean my job is stressful and I am not perfect, but above all else I would rather get up and take care of these little munchkins than anything else that I may be qualified to do.

I am a mother. I am a GOOD mother, and I have an obnoxious amount of love to ooze into this planet and the little ones are just amazing.  I mean think about it, my oldest boss is gonna be four in October.  Really?  Who wouldn't want a four year old boss??  Best days honestly, I get to work at a park on the swings, go on field trips and ride carousels; what more could I want??


PEACE... SILENCE...

A Tasty Tuesday!

The other day while I was seriously trying to catch up on any form of blogging, I was sitting there killing my eyes reading blog post after blog post; when suddenly my tummy started rumbling.  My mouth was watering uncontrollably and I couldn't wait to share this with you.  From "The Pepper and Her Pups," comes one of HER amazing finds:  Chocolate chip cookie dip... Do I really need to do anymore?? Yes, YES I DO!  I have to show this to you so that your stomachs and mouths will rumble and ooze as mine have.

Isn't that insane??  Too good to be true and too good to replace the ingredients with the "healthy version."  Come on people don't bother ruining it just make it when you have a few people coming by so you don't have to feel guilty.  I will be using this for my Eldest's fourth birthday party.  I know!! Four years old and I can't even believe it.  Practically a man the way he is behaving and I am so thrilled to have him be MY little man.

I am so amazed that it has been four whole years.. I miss my little baby Eldest soo much it is amazing and I know those feelings will just get stronger as his growing continues... as is the tale of a mother right???  Nonetheless I am happy to have him and I will continue enjoying/hating him growing up.

It is amazing how much my beast has grown!! Think Neverland will take us??

Man Candy Monday! - Chris Pine & Zachary Quinto

I know most of you are aware that I am a sci-fi nerd; if you don't know that i'm so sorry to disappoint you so far into the game here lol!!  I thought that I would spread my love for Star Trek (yes i know i'm a nerd, please feel free to make me aware of it cause I can say I LOVE being a sci-fi nerd!), here on man candy monday!

Now I am not going to go out and pick some crappy old character... no offense to the cast I love and adore all of you!! BUT I picked these TWO, yes two for my extra early monday.

Starting my makeup adventure!

So the other day i went out and decided I wanted a full palette of makeup in DIVINE colors.  I have to admit that I have always enjoyed fooling around with makeup.  As a teen I would be putting on everyone's stage makeup and the like.  I used to love that.  So I wanted it.... when I saw it I nearly hit the buy button on reflex!!  So here it is, my pride and joy my soon to be artistic outlet. 

Well we'll see I am no expert by any means but i'll try... i'm also finding that with this palette comes a need for more "tools" and makeup must haves, for now i'm just going to go with what I have... not much lol!!

So far I have only played with the pinks and purples, tomorrow i'm going to attempt to be bold and go for the greens and blues!!

Just a simple two tone thing, did it as soon as I opened it lol!!! BUT I have more the one I did today was to enhance what I kinda went with here. 

I wish I could get better pics of my makeup but i'm taking the photos myself obviously and I don't have all the time in the world to put into my makeup THEN an hour worth of photos lol!!

New TV

I know that I had mentioned that my hubby had his birthday this month and that he received a new TV for it.  What I didn't do was show you our new TV.  Ideally I wish I had taken a before TV and after TV shot so you could see exactly how truly incredible our upgrade was.  But I didn't hubby barely gave me a chance to take the couple shots I did of it, as he tore open the box and threw the instruction manual to the side.

So here it is....

Isn't is lovely???? In that second picture you can see the old setup and crappy TV that we used to have.  Pretty horrible, and it was dying... BAD.  So thru the grace of God we got this new one... all of us are in love enough said!

I was soo excited to try this out I nearly peed myself just waiting for it, with the postal strike up here too it took EXTRA long to make it to my house.  In fact there are still some things that I haven't even gotten yet and doubt that I ever will.  But I digress... I am here to talk about something that I honestly liked using and am still constantly using and WILL be buying more of for everyone I know with a kid.

What am I talking about???... THIS!

I was just itching with excitement to try this BikeGlow out and I am soooo happy that I got the chance!  This amazing device is waterproof and is flexible enough to wrap around anything whether it be a bike, stroller, yourself for kicks on halloween (can so be used for the "stick men" costume!); just about anything, but above all its all about SAFETY! 

I took mine out to test on the stroller at the fireworks the baby loved it glowing around him and we kept getting asked where we got it, so a lot of name dropping was going on and not alot of firework watching lol!!

It is ten feet long to help fit around anything you could need it for; and comes in MANY different cool colors, I got purple and it was soo neat looking, not to mention you can set it three different ways!  There is solid, slow blinking and pulse!  It only takes two AA batteries so the convenience is wonderful since I have to have billions of those in my house for the kids toys anyways.

I even forced it upon one of my avid biker daycare clients and he almost didn't give it back.  He found it really useful as he usually bikes at night once the kids are asleep since he needs to spend his daytime hours helping his pregnant wife with the kids etc when he returns home from work.  Once he is finished his night shift with the kids he hops on his bike or "space ship," as he would call it with these lights on it, and speed off for a great workout.  "A great SAFE workout, without worry," he said to me.  I was just happy to show him a product he will be jumping on soon enough!

The PNE

This last weekend we took our brats to the PNE.  Needless to say that they both just LOVED it, and even mommy and daddy had some good times even though we couldn't do ANY adult things there with the kids.  We spent a total of TEN HOURS there... that is right I am brave enough to keep my kids hopped up on sugar for a FULL ten hours lol!!! NAAAAHHH they didn't get TOOO much sugar, after all it is a day of no rules and constant fun, just the way it should be.  I feel so bad for the kids who have their parents pack every morsel of food for them.  I mean you are bringing them out for a treat right??  So why not let them have a little something special, i thought we were supposed to teach moderation not never-ever-ever eat that stuff.  But i digress and I'll just get to the pictures since I know that is exactly what you want. 

I am only going to share a few as I haven't edited ALL of them yet, i just focused on doing ones with my kids.

Eldest very upset about having to get off the ride lol... very cute; daddy is clearly frustrated with the scene he was making lol.  Later he learned that EVERY ride there is at least ONE kid that freaks out about having to get off.

I am still alive I swear!

I am slowly coming back to you, I swear it.  I have taken a little break from blogging, as some of you might have noticed, mainly because of my insanely busy August month.  My hubby’s birthday, our upcoming anniversary and my twitter class; have kept me incredibly busy… not to mention taking care of the blogging groups via Blogelina. 

It began as a necessary vacation and turned into “I-would-rather-play-with-the-kids” than sit down and catch up on my blogging.  Of course this hasn’t ended well for me and I’m just facing more and more work and the days go on… so much so I couldn’t even manage to get out a Man Candy Monday this week.  That is so sad.  So very, very sad. 

I am not the only one that has been busy this month, in fact, one of my daycare clients has been house hunting recently and they have managed to find their dream home.  Sort of, granted there is supposed to be some landscaping that needs to be done but the inside is exactly as they would like it.  I am very happy for them and I’m excited to be client hunting for the beginning of October.  I will be sad to see Superman leave, my son will be so terribly sad but I’m hoping to convince his dad to do a “pen pal” thing between the boys. 

This month has also brought about the absence of Tigerlily.  A sad time not having her in our house but I am happy to report how amazing she really is doing all on her own.  She is so excited and I can’t wait to get my butt into gear trying to find her all that household stuff she needs, piece by piece.  I have never lived on my own, unless you count neglectful parenting, so her doing it all by her lonesome makes me really proud.  This girl has fire in her soul and I think she can do anything she puts her mind to.  The kitten unfortunately met a horrible end.  Killed by her father; probably within moments of getting the cat into the house, so sad and I’m sorry to hear it.    

On another note my hubby had a GREAT birthday filled with lots of great times and a new TV.  He is really enjoying it and so am I considering I was becoming worried about our ever so old and slowly dying TV we previously owned.  I have discovered that those are the big types of things that I can’t replace if they break, so I’m ever thankful to his parents for buying it for us.  I just pray this LCD has a longer life than others I have heard about.  I’ll be keeping my old TV for my bedroom until the thing officially dies for good… which I bet will be sooner rather than later… but at least I can watch some crappy TV on my old crappy TV lol. 

Overall I’ll be excited to get back to doing all the good stuff like commenting once again etc… I swear I will come back to you, I swear.

Man Candy Monday! - Christian Bale (by request)

This week has been busy, and this new week will be even more so since it will be my hubby's birthday this week.  Needless to say he is getting spoiled lol!  Last night he got a new tv... BUT that will be for another day right now I have business to take care of... HOT business.
