I know, I know i've been slightly absent from the blogging world, but in all fairness to me it is a long weekend here in B.C. and I am in the midst of finalizing all the details for my first Twitter course coming up on August 1st; which feels like just a sneeze away.

Right now I am alone in my house, the hubby has taken the boys to the grandparents to play in the sprinkler while I have the afternoon off over here.  Needless to say i'll spend most of this time off cleaning and catching up on blogging work which isn't at all very glamorous. 

Yesterday, since we only had one day care child, we decided to take them out to the Burnaby Village Museum; i've been meaning to do so but i've been putting it off.  Hubby also got an early start to his long weekend and had the day off as well.

I love this place, it is so amazing and I just have to silently share pictures of it, completely unedited photos so please don't steal them just enjoy them, if you use them give credit :D !! I seem to have become really protective of my pictures recently but enough of that verbal nonsense.

My silly attempt at photography

Alright we all here, who are regular readers, know what is kinda going on and off in my little life here.  WELL I have a small update for you.  My Twitter class is just itchy to get going, I have a small class but i'm happy with it for being my FIRST class :)!  I have to say that I am really excited about this and I can't wait to get going on it!  Please I would love you forever if you could spread the word about it a little bit to help me get some more last minute spots filled!  

Also; I have a few giveaways for the rest of the summer, one of which has already begun!  I will be starting another one VERY soon but please take the time to enter as the entries are SUPER low and you would LOVE to win it and right now your chances are SOOOO high!!

BUUUUUTT other than that I have to admit I have been playing around a lot with photography and editing.  I am by no means terribly good at it but I do get some great shots and I have just started playing around using Gimp.  Simple; but I can understand it for the most part, and I'm clearly still learning.  Any pointers are definitely welcome!  I will show you some of my shots:

Man Candy Monday!

Today??  Robert Pattison, I couldn't help myself and we all knew he was going to come into the picture at some point.  It will be my pleasure to show you some of the BEST photos I can find of him!

OOoooOOO I would love to see him doing that on my living room floor... preferably sorting and cleaning the toy box BUT just lying there would be PIMP!  I wonder if you could pay a celebrity to do that if you had enough money...?

Even smoking a cancer stick hes hot... and that means a lot coming from me.  Okay... maybe not since my hubby still smokes.... BUT i HATE it.

I love a man I can't stay mad at.... unlike my hubby lol!  I thought this would be his "i'm very upset at you.." face lol!! How could you not love that face?!?!

A Night With Kin

Alright so, yesterday I went out to my sister second wedding reception (that was being held up here while she was visiting the inlaws).  They decided to have a big party and dinner that I have to say was DELICIOUS; i even refused to take pictures of it as I was way way way too hungry!  We had a great time I have to say, I got an ego boost here and there I was pleased about lol!  My sister really got lucky with this family, they are nice, loving, definitely have the west vancouver mentality though but that is what comes with the territory. 

All in all I had a great time, and I think my sister did, the food was great and the cupcakes even BETTER!  So i know that all of you are waiting for the photos of the night soooo..... HERE!

And that was basically my evening, I had to leave earlier than wanted because her dad had to go to work and he was driving me.  BUT it was lovely and I have nothing to complain about. 

I have only one thing... i have been bitten by the wedding bug.  I am ansy and I am tired of waiting for the last seven years and two kids... that is right... just tired.. unwanted... Not like i could afford one but I think I can come up with something that I am very happy with over a year of saving.

A Germerific Giveaway!

As a daycare provider to a group of germ incubators I thought this would be a PERFECT thing for me to test out and share with you.  Honestly since this daycare has started the amount of colds my kids have gotten is amazing.  With this little pocket purifier from Purely products I can feel like I am at least breaking even on the war with germs in my house.

So I received this lovely device in the mail, FINALLY after waiting forever for Canada post to be forced back to work, and I couldn't wait to give it a try... especially now that I have a litter box using kitten in my house who likes to jump on the places I prepare and eat food... GROSS!!! 


Now this pocket purifier is pretty awesome as it "uses the same UV-C light used to sterilize surgical instruments to eliminate 99.9% of germs that cause colds, and flu, plus e-coli, salmonella, mold, fungus and MRSA staph (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus Aureus)."  Those are all a bunch of things that I don't want in my house, and this little light can murder these germs within seconds; 10-15 to be exact!  Bigger objects you just place inside a box for about 15 minutes or so.  Not to mention that this great little gadget is travel size and can be used in many disgusting public situations, such as public restroom change tables, the bottom of your purse after you have left that bathroom etc.. etc.. Sounds as though I have a personal issue with public restrooms lol!  But it isn't soo appealing to the eye is it in that black?!?!  WRONG!!  They have it in pink too!!

Canada post... who knew!

 I have to admit that I had no idea you could purchase ANYTHING from Canada post!  But you can people you really can and I only just found this out.  After being sucked in by their camera selection I could stop.  I was clearly hooked and there was no longer any hope for me or my sanity.  They have EVERYTHING and every brand, you click on it and BOOM you're being re-directed to that companies website and product spot, and they manage to do it pretty quickly depending on the company they are re-rooting to.

There are other great features to browsing at Sony Canada.  They have every brand listed and at the cheaper prices available.  Almost like they have gone out and decided to go shopping for you and list all the best prices JUST for you.  That is super special and I love being able to choose by brand.  There are some brands that have just never failed me and ones that I know I really don't like whether it is their style or a bad experience.  

Their photo base is great and is really great at portraying exactly what amazing features each and every product seems to have.   As I said before I was really surprised that they even offered any form of shopping at all but i can definitely say that I'll be taking my time browsing around for little things lol.  

Don't worry they have more than just electronics you can search virtually any type of product; though they have a small baby, kids etc section.  But who wants to go shopping for them anyways?!?!  You should take the time just this once to purchase what YOU want lol.  A small treat just for mum and dad!  MUMFECTION!  

In other news I am pleased to announce that I will be starting some GREAT giveaways in the future so HORAY!! for Canada post being off strike so that I can finally start receiving the things that I needed for all these giveaways to even begin in the first place.  We went soo long without mail and I am so happy that they're back to work again.

update on Tigerlily

So the teen decided that she hated her nickname on my blog and so now I am updating it and will now be referring to her as "tigerlily,"  it fits her personality I think.  Strong willed and passionate.  She has been here for a couple weeks now and, personally, I have been really enjoying it!  Her booboo, cat, has been GREAT, managing to learn all the rules very quickly considering its a feline and all lol.  She is super gentle with the kids and Tigerlily has been really great about cleaning everything without being asked so I have no complaints.

For a while there I was afraid that Eldest was allergic to her but the sniffles have passed, I think his body just needed some adjustment time to the cat hair.  This cat is also the quietest cat I have EVER met, honestly she never speaks!  So fluffy and sweet too, BUT she loves to be on tables and counters... but again she is getting used to it. 

The daycare has been going great, especially with Tigerlily being here to help us out so much.  She is just amazing at dealing with the kids which in turn gives us more time to do other things.  She is even learnt a great appreciation for patience with these kids.  The first couple of days with them everything is fine then their "habits" begin to wear on your patience... ALOT!  Granted with that time though you learn ways to creatively deal with their "habits."


My twitter class is all ready to go, but i'm sad about the lack of interest.  I have worked so hard on it and i'm getting basically no where when it comes to filling up seats in the class.  Nonetheless it is all finished and ready to go... but i'm still having issues with converting my .doc into a .pdf so if you know how let me know and I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to hear from you!!!

Man Candy Monday! - Ian Somerhalder

I can't think... yup not anymore...

MMmmmm my little vampire pet!  I love this man, so much so I wish he would rip out his salvador brothers throat and just take Elaina for himself... but thats just what I want cause stefan is UGLY AS SIN in comparison to him. 

I don't know if it is just this mans amazing sexy smirk that I fall victim too but i don't think that it matters I mean look at that intense face.  I mean he is literally something that I would want to sink my teeth into!

Maybe it is his playful demeanor that he seems to possess, that bad boy goof that I adore so deeply.

Maybe it is his ability to look so truly forlorn mid-strip lol.  Perhaps even almost begging lol.  I LOVE HIM!!

alright usually I don't talk about my clothes but in this case I can't not.  I love this outfit and I only just recieved the t-shirt on friday.  I worn it yesterday and it was amazing I love it!! So I am going to share it with you.

Remember a while back when I was telling you how I would dress like myself that I would wear myself in all honesty.  Well slowly these items are coming together and making their way to my house lol!!

They are to die for I love them and I can't wait to get the rest of the stuff I have ordered.  With the postal strike, getting this stuff is LONG over due!!

I need more coffee.

So that was my amazing dinner it was honestly fan-freaking-tastic people.  The dinner was PERFECTION everything was delicious there wasn't one bite that was well done or too rare it was all MINT!  PERFECTION; just what I wanted, my gravy flawless as always and it was OH MY GOD I have to eat this again lol.  Next meal will be my stew.  I know these meals are always repeated but DAMN they're my signature dishes and I do them VERY well.
