So it begins!! I am finally taking steps towards returning back to school! I am so excited i can hardly sit still and am thanking God i have both kids to keep my busy enough to not buzz all over the place. Granted i do have a lot of chores that are going undone as I would rather do this at nap time than clean in anyway... luckily my house isn't too bad lol. I have my transcripts coming to me in the mail, I have government forms to print off and fill out to see if i can manage to get funding in order to return to school. It looks really promising so i can only hope that it will work out for me in the end here. I think that its really important to return to school not only to proove to myself that with a little hard work YES you can do everything you wanted to regardless of age, financial status, kids or no kids etc etc.. There is nothing you can't achieve without a little hard work; and the only way to teach my children that is to lead by example and to do it myself. I have come to realize that in order to teach your children what is really important in life is to make the mistake yourself, and then to live your life to fix that mistake and to achieve what you wanted.
Everyday we tell our children: "you can be anything you want to be." But in all honestly they can't just be whatever they want; they have to work for it. So i want to start a revolution to stop that saying and to instead replace it with this: "with a little hard work you can be anything you want to be." Is that so hard?? Isn't that the kind of mentality we want to teach them anyway?
So here begins a journey of a low income mother of two boys; returning school... one day at a time...
